Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Assist in ensuring the simulator systems are operational and ready for customer and internal use.
- Contribute to development of leading-edge technologies related to vehicle dynamics simulation and driving simulators, including associated hardware systems, simulator control software, and multibody dynamical modelling.
- Maintain professional interface with simulator customers to facilitate simulator sessions and coordination with Multimatic’s greater Engineering teams involved with simulation technologies.
- Assist with cockpit changes for a highly diversified user base, from motor sport teams to road vehicle manufacturers.
- Assist in executing simulator system upgrades, modifications, system fault resolutions, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including maintenance on energized low and high-voltage components and support equipment.
- Provide Vehicle Dynamics Simulation support for a variety of internal and external programs that Multimatic is involved in.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in a related discipline of Engineering, such as but not limited to Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Robotics, etc.
- Work experience and/or training in real-time dynamical simulation and simulator systems is a strong preference.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, Math Works MATLAB and Simulink is a requirement.
- Experience with VI-grade software products, Linux operating systems, and Concurrent Real-Time is a strong asset.
- Advanced knowledge of electronic and mechatronic systems
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and demonstrated ability to apply hardware and software diagnostic skills toward systematic root cause isolation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with all facility users and stakeholders: customers, suppliers, engineers, etc.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to independently manage workload.
- Ability to thrive in a face‑paced, team environment; able to proactively adapt to find solutions and meet deadlines as challenges arise.
