Accounts Payable Specialist

Star Cutter Company, is a family owned, globally recognized, manufacturer of custom round tools and hobs. We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. Our Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing our accounts payable, managing our vendors and assisting with critical accounting function. The ideal candidate will be looking for:

• Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval according to internal controls and general ledger requirements.
• Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external inquiries regarding vendor invoices paid or unpaid.
• Monitor and track subcontractor invoices, ensuring alignment with project budgets.
• Assist in audits, month-end closing, year-end closing, and other accounting events.
• Initiate expense report accounts for individuals ensuring compliance with company practices.
• Maintain up-to-date files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Prepare and process payments to vendors via checks and ACH, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and appropriate authorization.

• Three or more years Accounting Experience
• Advanced skillset in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in manufacturing required.
