Part-Time Lead Retail TrainerAmerican Greetings is a global leader in the Celebrations marketplace. Celebrate with us and join our team today! The Part-Time Lead Retail Trainer is a vital role that helps people celebrate holidays, each other, and all of life’s special moments by making the world a more thoughtful and caring place every single day. This part‑time role is responsible for the training and development of merchandisers servicing greeting card departments in retail locations across a specified geographical area.
Pay- Starting pay is $21.70 per hour with two increases during the first year of employment.
- After 6 months, the pay rate increases to $23.60.
- After a year of continued employment, the pay rate increases to $25.50.
- 401(k) with company match.
The weekly average hours are 25 hours per week. Hours may increase to an average of 30 hours per week around holidays.

Training Responsibilities- Partner with the Field Manager to identify training needs.
- Communicate with new and existing merchandisers to schedule training as needed while mentoring and giving feedback.
- Train on duties including servicing an order, inventory management, and organizational activities, as well as seasonal duties such as changeovers, display maintenance, and inventory management.
- Build strong relationships with store personnel while promoting the brand.
- Identify and arrange coverage for vacant stores within the area.
- Continually improve store performance and ensure merchandisers are successful.
- Responsible for merchandising of own small route of stores.
- Work with the Field Manager and store personnel on major revision activity before, during, and after setup.
- Knowledge of all fixture types across different accounts and ability to build fixtures as needed, along with understanding planograms, cabinet diagrams, and other revision specific materials.
- Effectively assign tasks and manage a team during revisions to complete the job.
- Maintain constant communication with the Field Manager on all aspects of revision throughout the process.
- Training and supervisory experience preferred.
- Retail or merchandising experience a plus.
- Effective communication, organizational, and detail‑oriented skills needed.
- Technological competency – ability to learn and use technology effectively.
- Ability to lift, push, and/or move up to 40 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- May require extensive time in a vehicle.
