Mental Health Technician | Marin County
Start Date: ASAP | Overnight Schedule | Residential Treatment
We're seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) for a Mental Health and residential substance abuse treatment program supporting adult women in Marin County. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in behavioral health, substance-use treatment, and crisis-aware client support within a structured residential environment.
Position Highlights
Location: Marin County
Setting: Mental Health or Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (Women's Program)
Start Window: ASAP
- Sun-Thurs PM (2:30 - 10:30pm)
- Fri-Mon Overnight (10:30pm - 6:30am)
- Fri-Mon Overnight (10:30pm - 6:30am)
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Mental Health Technician, Behavioral Health Aide, or similar role
- Experience working with substance-use disorders and/or co-occurring mental-health conditions preferred
- Strong observation, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive during overnight hours
- Ability to work independently while following established treatment and safety protocols
- Provide supervision and support in a residential substance-abuse treatment setting
- Monitor client safety, conduct routine checks, and document observations
- Support program structure, rules, and recovery-focused expectations
- Assist with de-escalation and crisis response as needed
- Communicate effectively with clinical and supervisory staff regarding overnight concerns
