Job Title: Part-Time Child Care Attendant / Supervisor
Location: Marin Country Club
Position Type: Part-Time
Marin Country Club is seeking a dependable, caring, and experienced Part-Time Child Care Attendant / Supervisor to support families and children in a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. This role combines hands-on child care with staff coordination, scheduling, and program development. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about creating a welcoming child care experience that encourages participation and supports club families.
Key Responsibilities- Child Care & Safety
- Supervise and care for multiple children at one time in a safe and attentive manner
- Change diapers and assist with basic hygiene needs as required
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming child care environment at all times
- Follow all club safety policies and child care procedures
- Staff Management & Hiring
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training additional child care staff as needed
- Schedule and manage a small child care team to ensure proper coverage
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to child care staff
- Communicate staffing needs and performance concerns to club management
- Scheduling, Software & Administration
- Use club-approved software to schedule childcare staff and manage attendance
- Process or assist with charging member accounts for childcare services
- Maintain accurate records related to staffing, participation, and usage
- Programming & Participation Growth
- Conceptualize and help implement childcare programming, activities, and events
- Develop ideas to increase participation and engagement among club families
- Collaborate with club management to align programming with member needs
- Member Service
- Greet children and parents warmly and professionally
- Communicate clearly with parents regarding child needs, schedules, and activities
- Represent Marin Country Club with professionalism, care, and hospitality
- Previous child care experience required, including care of multiple children at once
- Experience with diaper changing required
- Experience supervising staff or leading programs preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable using scheduling, billing, and management software
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Availability weekdays during daytime hours required
- Possible weekend availability as needed
- Flexible scheduling within part-time hours
- Ability to lift children, bend, kneel, and remain active for extended periods
- Ability to respond quickly to children’s needs
Competitive part-time pay based on experience: $25 - $27
