Sr. Accountant

Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Novato. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in supporting daily accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across various processes.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team and contribute to critical projects.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

- Conduct month-end close activities, including expense reviews and account reconciliations.

- Reconcile balance sheets and bank accounts to maintain financial integrity.

- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and provide detailed financial reporting.

- Support audit efforts by generating ad hoc reports and addressing inquiries.

- Handle day-to-day accounting tasks and address project needs as delegated by the team.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations during system transitions and upgrades.

Requirements

- 7+ years of overall accounting experience

- Expertise in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.

- Proficiency with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Workday

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within a team.
