Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer - Software, DevOps

💻 Software Engineer (Azure / Node.js) – Contract

Start: ASAP (must be free within 2 weeks)

End date: October 2026 (Strong possibility of extension based on delivery)

Location: Hybrid – Nottingham (up to 2 days per month on-site)

• Design and develop cloud-native solutions using Azure Functions, Azure Storage and Azure Service Bus
• Contribute to event-driven and serverless architectures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, Dev Ops and product owners
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards and design principles
• Support unit and integration testing and resolve defects
• Ensure solutions are secure, resilient and aligned to enterprise best practices
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops processes
• Travel to Nottingham client site up to 2 days per month
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (Functions, Storage – Blob/Table/Queue, Service Bus)
• Experience building event-driven and serverless applications
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration patterns
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices
• Secure coding and cloud security principles
• Git-based version control
• Experience working on enterprise-level software projects
• Microsoft Dataverse
• Microsoft Power Platform
• Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform)
• Azure monitoring tools (Application Insights, Azure Monitor)
