About the Role

As a Local Area Co-ordinator, you will work as part of a team responsible for providing innovative support to people in communities who may be isolated and at risk of needing formal services. You will work with individuals, some of whom may be vulnerable, to identify their vision for a fulfilled life and then draw on family and community resources to support them to achieve these aspirations.

Alongside your work with individuals and their families, you will be required to develop a good understanding of the support that is available within the local community and any formal services that may be applicable and the referral process for them. Where you identify a potential risk to an individual’s safety or liberty, you will be required to refer on for additional support.

You may be required to work in the evenings and at weekends.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
