Senior SEND Officer

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Senior SEND Officer on a 4 months contract initially with a possibility of further extension.

Main purpose of the role:

To support and coordinate on casework, attending Annual Reviews (if applicable) and school meetings for children and young people where there are concerns and potential school breakdown. To liaise with other professionals to ascertain children’s needs. As well as ensuring that all pupils with special educational needs are appropriately placed and supported in accordance with panel decisions. To amend EHCPs in accordance with the decisions as above.

At all times, to promote and safeguard the welfare of children who live or access services in, or who are looked after by the client.
