Water Hygiene Technician

Location: East Midlands area – mobile position.
Contract: Permanent and full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (no evenings, no weekends, no on‑call).

What you’ll be doing:

• Travel to customer sites ensuring water systems are safe and compliant across the region.
• Inspect and clean water storage vessels, lead tank chlorinations.
• Install and service Thermostatic Mixing Valves.
• Conduct routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2: flush water outlets, monitor temperatures, descale shower heads, flush pressure vessels, perform sampling for closed water systems.
• Use SimPRO system to manage workload.
• Spot problems and proactively find solutions, applying knowledge of HSE’s ACoP L8 and HSG 274.

Qualifications:

• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training or equivalent industry experience.
• Knowledge of HSE’s ACoP L8 and HSG 274.
