We are partnering with a well-established logistics business based on Sherwood Business Park to recruit a Maintenance Technician / Handyperson to join their on-site Facilities team.

This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be supporting the smooth running of two warehouse facilities, carrying out reactive repairs, planned maintenance and safety checks.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out inspections and routine maintenance across the site

* Support wider maintenance activities including basic repairs to walls, floors, roofing and fixtures

* Assist with small construction tasks, plumbing, joinery and general fabric maintenance

* Carry out Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting and fire door checks

* Perform PAT testing (training provided if required)

* Complete and update maintenance logs and work registers

* Conduct preventative maintenance in line with schedules

* Order parts and ensure stock availability

* Resolve facilities queries quickly, escalating where required

* Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site H&S policies

Health & Safety Responsibilities

* Work in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation

* Take reasonable care for your own safety and that of colleagues

* Report hazards, incidents or repairs promptly

* Always follow safe systems of work

Person Requirements

* Experience in maintenance, building fabric repair or a similar facilities role

* Basic skills across electrics, plumbing, carpentry and general construction

* Confident using tools and willing to be trained on machinery (including working at heights)

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* Good basic IT and numeracy

* Self-motivated and able to work independently

* Flexible approach to duties and willing to support other teams where required

* A full UK driving licence essential

* First Aid, Fire Marshal or MHE licences desirable (training may be provided)
