Job Description
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will drive early‑stage engagement with prospective customers, qualify opportunities for Sales Executives, and ensure a seamless handoff into the sales cycle. In addition to meeting your own pipeline goals, you will share best practices and accelerate team performance. This role requires strong collaboration across Marketing, Sales, and Commercial business functions, while focusing on solution areas such as Supply Chain, Sustainability, and Compliance to position our offerings effectively and represent the SDR function to leadership.

Join our dynamic team as a Sales Development Representative in a hybrid role based in either Cambridge or Nottingham, where you’ll drive impactful customer engagement and help shape our growth across the UK market.
Responsibilities- Identifying potential customers, generating new business opportunities, and managing leads through the sales pipeline. Research, map and engage strategic accounts for expansion opportunities.
- Meeting with prospects to qualify their interests, needs and challenges. Conduct various nurture campaigns to drive engagement.
- Provide value propositions to key stakeholders, handle complex objections, schedule demonstrations and discovery meetings for sales teams.
- Support the development of sales presentations, present to potential new and existing clients.
- Meet with sales teams to develop outbound prospecting plans. Collaborate with the marketing teams to develop strategies for expanding awareness.
- Attending networking events and trade shows to build relationships and generate leads. Stay up to date on industry trends, competition, and regulatory changes.
- Use customer relationship management (CRM) software to manage leads and sales activities.
- Track progress towards performance targets. Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas.
- Higher Secondary Education and two years of directly related experience.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with potential clients.
- Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to change.
- A desire to learn and grow in the sales field.
- Experience owning a quota or some form of performance-based delivery a plus.
