Business Development Manager – Central and North West England

We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Business Development Manager to cover central and the North West of England. Responsible for winning and managing client accounts, fostering relationships, and driving sales growth and retention across a range of customers including national franchises, large independents and multi‑site customers.

Day to Day
  • Winning new business and managing clients from onboarding through to nurturing and account management by providing impeccable service.
  • Owning the delivery, ongoing support, adoption, and expansion of your allocated customers.
  • Managing contract negotiations and pricing discussions with key customers.
  • Customer liaison and inputting information into the database, recording all correspondence and account changes.
  • Maximising upselling and renewal opportunities across your customer base.
  • Building strong customer relationships with users and stakeholders via regular phone calls, online meetings and on‑site visits.
  • Developing and delivering KPI’s/SLA’s to drive a continuous improvement agenda.
  • Conducting market research to stay up to date with industry trends and changes.
  • Tracking sales data and providing regular reports to senior management.
What Will You Bring?
  • Proven experience in a business development role; experience within the fuels or waste management industry would be advantageous.
  • Driven and motivated to hunt new business opportunities.
  • Experience in developing and closing business deals within B2B.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically and make informed decisions.
  • Relationship‑building skills, with the ability to establish rapport with existing and prospective clients.
  • Adaptability, self‑motivated and resilient to remain attuned to a dynamic environment.
  • Results‑oriented with a proactive approach to driving business growth.
  • Outstanding interpersonal & communication skills, capable of networking, building lasting relationships, and presenting and articulating to clients and stakeholders.
  • A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel nationally to client sites.
