An established and growing apparel supplier is seeking an Import Merchandiser to join their team. The business designs, manufactures and imports menswear and womenswear for a broad customer base across the UK and international markets, supplying retailers, e-commerce platforms and independent stores.

This is a hands‑on role with responsibility for managing the full product lifecycle, from order placement through to final shipment, ensuring delivery deadlines and customer requirements are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing contract orders for menswear and womenswear accounts
  • Raising, maintaining and tracking purchase orders
  • Creating and overseeing the critical path to ensure on-time delivery
  • Leading weekly critical path meetings with factories and customers
  • Liaising daily with suppliers and buyers to ensure samples, lab dips and submissions are received and approved in line with agreed timelines
  • Reviewing and approving labelling and packaging details in line with customer requirements
  • Providing clear approval comments on garments and components
  • Communicating customer packing, testing and compliance requirements to factories and ensuring adherence
  • Working closely with the technical team to prioritise and progress sample approvals
  • Attending fit meetings alongside technical and design teams
  • Proactively identifying and resolving any delays or production issues
  • Reviewing and approving shipment bookings and associated documentation
Skills & Experience Required
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar import merchandising role
  • Experience working with high-volume retail accounts preferred
  • Proven experience managing and maintaining a critical path
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
