Overview
A Band 6 stroke nurse practitioner position has arisen at Queens Medical Centre. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with excellent leadership skills to support the team.
Eligibility and ExperienceWhether you are an experienced Band 5 Staff Nurse or have a wealth of experience and are looking for a new challenge, a position on C4‑HASU as part of the FAST team and the senior nurse team will expand your knowledge base and clinical skills immensely. As a team we focus significantly on patient and public involvement and the feedback they give us in order to improve their experience as a whole at this vulnerable time.

Hyperacute Stroke Services have an exciting opportunity to join their experienced team of Stroke Nurse Practitioners. The role is primarily based within the Emergency Department and on the hyperacute stroke unit (Level 1 facility), providing emergency care to anyone admitted to hospital with a stroke. The role requires you to work closely with the ED, mechanical thrombectomy and stroke research teams to provide excellent care and improved quality outcomes for all stroke patients.
Responsibilities- Provide emergency care to patients admitted with stroke.
- Collaborate with the ED, mechanical thrombectomy, and stroke research teams.
- Deliver care based on the latest research from within this large acute teaching trust.
- Work closely with the MDT to achieve the greatest outcomes for patients.
