Experienced Treatment Room / Practice Nurse

Job Summary: Deliver general practice nursing to the entire practice population, focusing on evidence‑based care for long‑term conditions and preventive health. Work autonomously, make clinical decisions, and collaborate with the practice team to meet patient needs.

• Plan, implement and evaluate treatment programmes for patient health and wellbeing.
• Provide individual treatment plans for patients with long‑term conditions and manage those at risk.
• Review and manage medication therapy following evidence‑based and national protocols.
• Support patients with medication adherence and health promotion strategies.
• Advance emergency care and complex case management within practice guidelines.
• Lead and manage routine wound care and manage complex wounds.
• Adopt and practice child and adult safeguarding procedures.
• Deliver vaccination programmes for adults and children and advise on overseas travel immunisation.

• Nursing registration held with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• First level nursing qualification.
• Current NMC registration and maintained professional standards.

• Minimum 5 years post‑registration nursing experience.
• At least 2 years at band 5 or higher within primary‑care practice nursing.
• Experience managing chronic diseases including diabetes, COPD, asthma and cardiovascular disease.
• Evidence of autonomous practice and reflective professional practice.
• Experience in treatment room or minor injuries management.

• Specialist Practitioner Practice Nursing degree.
• Nurse prescribing or teaching qualification.
• Experience in clinical audit and supervision.

Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Part‑time
Location: Kibworth Close, Nottingham, NG5 1NA
