Job Overview
Bank Advocate / Independent Advocate – Part‑time, flexible role with a values‑based organisation. The role involves supporting vulnerable adults and providing advocacy and information services within the Nottingham area.
Key Responsibilities- Act as an independent advocate, communicating and supporting clients in making decisions about health and social care.
- Manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines and maintain accurate records and reporting.
- Work remotely and maintain a flexible schedule, typically between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday‑Friday as required.
- Travel within the Nottingham area as needed; candidates must live in the area, hold a full driver’s licence and have access to their own transport.
- Prepare and submit an Enhanced DBS check and National Offender Management Service vetting.
- Obtain business insurance for your own vehicle (if required).
- Strong communication and time‑management skills to work effectively remotely.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and the ability to learn client‑management databases.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accurate recording of records and reporting.
- Previous experience in advocacy, information and advice roles, or a similar setting within health, social care or the voluntary sector.
- Demonstrable experience working with vulnerable adults.
- Working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations.

Benefits & Conditions- Salary: £12.60 per hour.
- Contract type:
Bank/Agnes appointment. - Home‑based work with travel around Nottingham.
- Travel may be covered by mileage rate per policy.
