Nottingham Forest Football Club is seeking a creative and driven Social Media Executive to support and grow the club’s digital presence across all major platforms. This role will play a key part in engaging supporters, amplifying the club’s brand, and delivering compelling, on‑brand content that reflects the history, passion, and ambition of Nottingham Forest.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities- Plan, create, and publish engaging content across the club’s social media channels (including X, Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, You Tube, and emerging platforms).
- Support the delivery of the club’s social media strategy, aligned with commercial, marketing, and football objectives.
- Cover matchdays and club events, delivering real‑time updates, highlights, and fan‑focused content, including working evenings, weekends, and matchdays as required.
- Collaborate with the content, communications, and commercial teams to promote campaigns, partners, and key club initiatives.
- Monitor social media performance, analyse insights, and produce reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Engage with supporters in a professional and positive manner, helping to build a strong online community.
- Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices in sports digital media.
- Ensure all content adheres to club brand guidelines, tone of voice, and safeguarding policies.
- Previous experience in social media management, preferably within sport, entertainment, or a fast‑paced brand environment.
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their audiences.
- Experience using content calendars and scheduling tools.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms.
- Basic experience with content creation tools (e.g. video editing, graphics, photography).
- Analytical mindset with experience using social media insights and analytics tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, particularly on matchdays.
- Awareness of safeguarding, EDI and accessibility best practice in digital content.
