Picker​/Cleaner; Frag Team

We are recruiting a Picker / Cleaner – Site Operative to join our team at our new Nottingham site.

This role supports the overall cleanliness, safety and operational efficiency of the yard and processing areas. Unlike the Frag-specific role, this position works across the wider site and may support different operational areas as required.

This is a physically demanding, hands‑on position requiring strong safety awareness and the ability to work effectively within an active industrial environment.

• Manually pick and remove unwanted materials from designated site areas
• Support material segregation and quality control where instructed
• Carry out general cleaning duties across yard, bays and processing zones
• Keep walkways, access routes and working areas clear and safe
• Remove debris and maintain housekeeping standards
• Assist operational teams as required to support site performance
• Report hazards, spillages or unsafe conditions immediately
• Follow instructions from supervisors and site management

• Wear appropriate PPE at all times
• Remain vigilant to moving plant, vehicles and machinery
• Follow all site Health & Safety policies and Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Report near misses, unsafe acts or environmental concerns
• Support compliance with environmental permit requirements

• Physically fit and capable of manual, repetitive tasks
• Strong awareness of health and safety in an industrial environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Previous experience within recycling, waste or industrial operations
• Experience working in a yard or plant environment
