Packing Room Team Leader Lenton Operations

Overview

Warlord Games is currently recruiting in our Operations department for a motivated, thorough and target-focused Team Leader in our Packing Room. Working to support the Production Manager, you will plan the daily packing requirements to meet despatch and stock needs. You’ll train new team members to hit safety, quality and daily packing targets and will be responsible for managing your team against these targets in a fair and consistent way on an ongoing basis.

You’ll thrive on problem-solving and responding swiftly and appropriately to changing priorities and production constraints.

• Planning packing with the room each day
• Planning the workload for picking work orders
• Discussing and planning staffing requirements for the week
• Printing new work orders, adding specification sheets and labels for newly created work orders
• Training new staff, ensuring that standards are always met regarding safety, quality and speed
• Conducting return to work meetings, 1st level absence reviews and performance/ behavioural coaching conversations with your team members
• Checking targets for packers, supporting or retraining those who need it
• Packing as required (about 25% of the time you should be packing as well)
• Supplying other team leaders and management with an overview each morning of your team’s performance and attending team leader meetings to present it
• Staff planning; managing internal transfers, zero hours contract staff, agency staff and overtime, as required
• Making sure the room is aware of what the priorities are
• Communicating effectively with other team leaders about priorities as they change
• Keeping the trade stockist range in stock and above minimum requirements
• Quality-checking packers and monitoring overall issues coming from the room
• Test packing new releases for our Studio
• Running weekly team meetings to discuss safety, quality and team performance and to take positive actions to motivate your team

You will need a strong work ethic and be able to work independently to manage your workload and your team effectively, as well as being an active member of the wider Operations team, working together to meet company goals.

You’ll be organised and tenacious, focused on maintaining high standards for your team in terms of safety, quality and performance and will be thorough and fair in your people management style.

Location:

This role is based in Lenton, Nottingham

Salary:
An annual salary of £26,000

Hours of work:
Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week
