Job Summary

The Reliability Supervisor is responsible for leading reliability and maintenance activities in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role ensures critical equipment operates safely, reliably, and in compliance with FDA, cGMP, and internal quality standards. The supervisor drives preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, supports validated systems, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and product impact.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise reliability and maintenance personnel supporting GMP manufacturing, utilities, and packaging equipment
  • Develop, implement, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs in compliance with cGMP requirements
  • Ensure maintenance activities on GMP equipment follow approved procedures, work instructions, and documentation practices
  • Lead and support root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures, deviations, and recurring issues
  • Partner with Quality, Validation, Operations, and Engineering to ensure equipment remains in a validated state
  • Review and approve maintenance records, change controls, deviations, and CAPAs related to equipment reliability
  • Utilize CMMS data to monitor reliability KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, downtime, critical alarms) and drive improvements
  • Support commissioning, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and turnover of new or modified equipment
  • Ensure proper execution of condition monitoring activities (vibration, thermography, lubrication, etc.)
  • Manage spare parts strategy for GMP-critical assets, ensuring compliance with approved vendor and material requirements
  • Promote a strong safety, data integrity, and quality culture within the maintenance organization
