About

the role

As a Senior Maintenance Coach
, you will play a critical leadership role in deploying, coaching, and sustaining the maintenance and equipment reliability elements of the Integrated Work System (IWS) across OTC manufacturing cells. You will ensure equipment is maintained in a validated state, drive reliability improvements, and build long‑term capability within the maintenance team to achieve zero breakdowns and robust GMP compliance. Partnering with Cell Leads, Process Coaches, Quality, Validation, and Engineering teams, you will help deliver high equipment performance and continuous improvement across the site.

Your

responsibilities Maintenance & Technical Leadership
  • Coach Maintenance Leads on breakdown elimination, defect handling, and reliability improvement.
  • Lead and sustain Daily Management routines, including planning, escalation, and problem‑solving.
  • Ensure effective PM strategies, maintenance planning, and adherence to technical standards.
  • Provide engineering governance for CAPEX, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and vertical start‑up activities.
  • Lead and support engineering deviations, investigations, and CAPA management.
People Leadership & Capability
  • Line manage Maintenance Leads and Shift Technicians.
  • Set clear expectations aligned with performance, GMP, and technical standards.
  • Develop team capability in technical skills, problem‑solving, and coaching.
  • Build a strong succession pipeline and lead skills development across the team.
Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, validation, and change‑control requirements.
  • Maintain audit readiness and support Qualified Person (QP) requirements.
  • Ensure robust maintenance documentation, control plans, and SOPs are maintained.
The experience we're looking for
  • Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or GMP‑regulated environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in equipment reliability, maintenance planning, or engineering operations.
  • Knowledge of GMP, validation, change control, and technical compliance.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop technical teams.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and experience with root‑cause analysis and loss‑elimination tools.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams (e.g., Quality, Engineering, Operations).
  • Experience managing CAPEX, commissioning, or equipment qualification is desirable.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A continuous‑improvement mindset with experience driving reliability improvements.
