Hydraulic Test Technician

Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, is now recruiting for a Hydraulic Test Technician to join our Staverton site.

• Testing of hydraulic components using designated test facilities
• Following detailed work instructions and specifications with accuracy
• Ensuring traceability is maintained throughout the test process
• Performing fault finding, strip down and repair of components
• Supporting engineering and quality teams with investigations and project work
• Carrying out self‑inspections and ensuring components are ready for quality control checks
• Completing all required documentation and maintaining accurate records
• Adhering to strict health and safety and EH&S guidelines

We’re looking for a detail‑focused, technically skilled individual with experience in testing and assembly environments. The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working with mechanical or hydraulic components
• Ability to interpret and work from detailed drawings and documentation
• Hands‑on experience testing hydraulic units (desirable)
• Electrical testing experience (an advantage)
• Proven ability to work to tight tolerances and time constraints
• Strong attention to detail and quality‑first mindset
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline
• Computer literacy (advantageous)
