.
The Role: The successful Machine Operator will work in a busy manufacturing environment, including setting up machinery, making adjustments to settings, basic machine maintenance, reporting issues, ensuring machines run efficiently, using the computer system within the machine, and completing paperwork to record production output and downtime. Pre-checks to machinery and addressing any potential issues are also required.

- Starting salary ranging between £30,363 - £34,606 DOE
- Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern - 6am-6pm & 6pm-6am

Requirements /
Qualifications:
- Previous Machine Operating experience
- ESSENTIAL - Able to demonstrate technical skills towards manufacturing / machine operation
- Mechanical aptitude
- FMCG experience
- ESSENTIAL - Experience working on modern / fast-paced machinery
- Experience in machine setup / basic machine maintenance
- ESSENTIAL - Demonstrate stability within work history

Overview - Production TechnicianClient Recruit4staff are representing their client, a leading food manufacturing company, in their search for a Production Technician to work in their leading facility in Telford
.
Note: MUST BE HAPPY TO ATTEND PSYCHOMETRIC TESTING AT FIRST STAGE.
For the successful Production Technician our client is offering;
- Starting salary of £33,733 which rises with experience/competence; up to £43,487 as processes are mastered
- 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts rotating days and nights, 07:25 - 19:35 / 19:35 - 07:25
- Permanent role

Responsibilities:
- Stay hands-on with machinery—spotting potential faults, investigating issues and problem solving to prevent downtime
- Ensure 100% compliance with Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety standards
- Run the line to standard operating procedures, including start-up and changeovers
- Lead a line with machine operators, training and driving performance
- Liaise with development teams for improvements on standards to drive continuous improvement, supporting refining processes to boost productivity
- Take ownership of the production line’s performance, ensuring it runs efficiently and is under control
What the client is looking for in a Production Technician:
- Strong technical mindset with experience in setting and operating machinery ESSENTIAL
- Technical problem-solving skills and action-oriented delivery
- Experience with changeovers / basic machine maintenance ESSENTIAL
- A drive for continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
- Effective communication and teamwork; comfortable challenging and seeking support when needed
- Food or processing industry experience preferred but not essential
- Must be happy/available to attend numerical and verbal reasoning tests ESSENTIAL
