Position:
Shift Electrician at SARVAL Nottingham site. 24‑hour operation, 365 days per year, full‑time permanent, 4 on 4 off 12‑hour day shifts. On‑call support required.

• Work under Health & Safety guidelines.
• Report initially to Engineering Team Leader.
• Liaise with Shift Team Leader to ensure efficient running of factory and associated processes.
• Understand all factory operations, including steam raising plant, odour control and effluent treatment plant.
• Monitor all electrical equipment to ensure efficient operation.
• Carry out breakdown repairs to factory equipment in a timely manner.
• Provide assistance to other shift members as requested by Shift Team Leader or Site Management.
• Perform site electrical installations and upgrade work as designated by the Electrical Team Leader.
• Carry out routine electrical or mechanical maintenance according to planned maintenance schedules.
• Be on call for a proportion of the time.

• Completed recognised City and Guilds Electrical Apprenticeship.
• Extensive electrical experience in a continuous process environment.
• Experience handling electrical maintenance and breakdowns.
• Proven experience with fault finding.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve process problems.
• Familiar with general factory maintenance practices.
• Conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Experience of plant operations.
• Able to work using own initiative.
• Self‑motivated and able to work on own or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to converse at all levels.
