Overview

Are you a hands-on supervisor who takes pride in turning a building into a welcoming home? We are looking for a Site Services Supervisor to drive excellence across our student portfolio. In this dynamic role, you'll be the bridge between strategic management and on-the-ground action. You won't just sit behind a desk; you'll lead by example—mentoring your maintenance and housekeeping teams, overseeing major summer works, and managing contractors to ensure our facilities are safe, compliant, and stylish.

From project managing remedial works to building positive relationships with our students, you will ensure every Move-in Weekend starts with a wow moment. If you are a problem-solver who balances technical repairs with people management and data-driven reporting, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the site maintenance and housekeeping teams across both sites to ensure they are delivering a high level of service in accordance with relevant policy and procedures.
  • Be on-site completing repairs, problem solving, replacing and renewing when necessary, and delivering a high quality maintenance service that meets service standards.
  • Conduct people management tasks including 1-2-1s, mentoring, coaching, and communicating with management.
  • Work alongside the Site Services Officers and take accountability for driving a culture of safe and compliant practices.
  • Manage contractors including procurement, onboarding, quality management and payments.
  • Support the teams with maintenance and compliance of the building and fabric, including repairs and redecorations as required. Lead by example and deliver high quality work.
  • Oversee the use of all IT platforms and databases to monitor performance, export and report data accurately and in a timely manner, and use it to drive improvement.
  • Lead on the summer works program and ensure things are well organized, effectively communicated to all stakeholders and delivered to tight time frames.
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with students to ensure satisfaction with facilities and services, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Project-manage remedial works throughout the year, coordinating schedules, resources and contractors, ensuring works are completed on time, within budget, and to required standards.
  • Maintain accurate records in asset and stock management and related areas.
  • Contribute as part of the team to promote and welcome our people at Open Days and Move-in Weekends. Supervisory/management and leadership experience required.
  • Experience of leading a highly motivated team achieving strong outcomes.
  • Able to demonstrate maintenance skills at an intermediate level in joinery, plumbing and decorating.
  • Experience applying repair and maintenance skills in the housing/accommodation sector.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety and building safety legislation and its impact on the Accommodation and Housing Sector, including converting legislation into operational practices.
  • Experience of working within the Purpose Built Student Accommodation or Housing Sector.
  • Knowledge and experience of safe working systems of work, health and safety and building management.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and prioritizing work effectively.
  • Great IT, data analysis and report writing skills.
  • Positive, energized and enthusiastic, with a real zest for helping others and providing excellent services.
  • Resilience to work in education, support and employment sectors and contribute to real change in people s lives.
  • Hold a UK driving license or the ability to travel between sites regularly.
What will make you stand out
