Client Project Manager

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-driven professional on behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the marine industry. As Client Project Manager, you’ll oversee the commissioning process of new boats, ensuring an exceptional and seamless journey from arrival to handover. This role is a unique opportunity to combine your technical expertise, project management skills, and passion for the marine sector to create outstanding client experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as the primary post-contract point of contact, ensuring a superior experience for clients.
  • Providing technical sales guidance and advising on customisation options to meet clients’ specific needs.
  • Managing relationships with suppliers for pricing, delivery timelines, and service expectations.
  • Coordinating technician checks upon boat arrival and liaising with the warranty team to address transport-related concerns or defects.
  • Pre‑planning commissioning activities by ensuring the availability of parts and subcontractors.
  • Supervising the commissioning process to guarantee on‑time and successful delivery of projects.
  • Conducting thorough project reviews to ensure cost accuracy and profitability.
  • Leading the client handover process, ensuring a smooth and professional transition.
  • Supporting the development of customisation packages and pricing revisions to reflect advances in technology.
Qualifications
  • A background in technical sales with knowledge of systems such as thrusters, stabilisers, power generation, and cellular connectivity.
  • Experience as a skipper with familiarity in both power and sail vessels.
  • Prior experience in yacht manufacturing or project management is advantageous.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business sense.
  • A valid passport for occasional travel within Europe.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Communicating directly with clients to understand needs and provide bespoke solutions.
  • Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the timely delivery of parts and services.
  • Overseeing commissioning processes in collaboration with technicians to ensure high standards are met.
  • Conducting cost and margin reviews to maintain project profitability.
  • Leading client handover meetings, ensuring a professional and memorable experience.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to refine customisation options and pricing strategies.
