About Us
We are expanding our Connect to Work team and recruiting for 2 full‑time Employment Specialists. You will manage a caseload of up to 20–25 participants, delivering person‑centred support under IPS fidelity, creating and following individualised action plans, and engaging with employers directly to support participants into sustainable work. You will also work with referral partners to promote the benefits of employment and with health practitioners to provide holistic support.
The role requires enthusiasm and a passion for helping people overcome barriers to meaningful employment, including long‑term health conditions, mental health, refugees, carers, and ex‑offenders. This is a community‑based role that requires travel across the London Boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth.
Connect to Work is a national UK government‑funded initiative aimed at supporting individuals with disabilities, health conditions, or other complex challenges in finding and maintaining employment. The programme offers tailored assistance, including one‑to‑one coaching, employer engagement, CV support, and up to 12 months of guidance for those seeking employment or up to 4 months for those at risk of losing a current job.
AboutThe Role
- Caseload management: manage up to 20–25 participants and provide holistic, personalised support to each individual.
- Performance and quality: follow strict processes of service delivery and work toward contractual targets and KPIs.
- Employer engagement: approach employers directly, promote equality and inclusion, and discuss adjustments for participants.
- Record keeping: maintain detailed casenotes, forms, and plans; extensive use of the CRM and Microsoft apps.
- Referral partners: collaborate with referral partners to promote the service and identify suitable individuals.
- Knowledge and experience of supporting others to achieve goals and outcomes.
- Excellent understanding of the Individual Placement and Support Fidelity Scale.
- Outstanding communication skills for engaging with diverse client groups and businesses at all levels.
- Problem‑solving skills to help participants overcome their barriers.
- Proficiency with IT systems, including Microsoft apps and CRM.
- Passion for making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable people and a desire to thrive in a challenging yet highly rewarding environment.
