Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Contracts Supervisor in Launceston and surrounding areas to oversee the day‑to‑day delivery of maintenance works. In this hands‑on role, you'll be responsible for managing operatives, liaising with clients and residents, and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. Your focus will be on maintaining strong performance against KPIs, ensuring compliance, and upholding excellent customer service standards.

Responsibilities
  • Working with clients, residents and operatives daily to achieve their expectations and delivering a high level of service
  • Attending meetings internally and externally
  • Surveying works and capturing everything required, identifying the correct trades for the works to be complete
  • Liaising with planners daily
  • Managing the daily activities of the operatives, understanding their working patterns, concerns and qualities
  • Ensuring all operatives are onsite on time and working to a high standard and are delivering quality each job they complete
  • Understanding each client specific KPIs in order to deliver them affectively
  • Working with the Contracts Manager daily
  • Completing inductions for new operatives and deliver expectation
  • Completing toolbox talks with operative
  • Working with HSE to ensure a safe working environment for all colleague
  • Having a reasonable commercial awareness to ensure each job is delivering the required profit margin
  • Working as part of a team to provide a good customer journey for all jobs received
  • Complete vehicle inspection
  • To be the first point of contact for the operatives.
You Will Need
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk management principles.
  • Problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong background in contract administration, project coordination, or construction management.
  • Computer literate.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
