Public Realm Operative

Description

Our local government clients in Nottinghamshire are seeking a Public Realm Operative. We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

Educated to at least GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.

Good IT skills and familiarity with using handheld computers.

Physically fit, capable of performing manual tasks (lifting, pushing, pulling), and able to walk long distances in all weather conditions.

Holder of a valid driving license and able to operate vehicles weighing up to 7.5 tonnes.

Ability to safely and effectively use hand and powered tools.

Basic mechanical awareness, including the ability to perform vehicle checks.

A team player who can also work independently and use their initiative.

Good communication skills for interacting with colleagues and the public.

Flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Willingness to undertake training and induction and adhere to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Assessments (RAs).

Ability to use electronic devices to report completed work.

Available for induction on March 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

Available to be paired with a buddy for the 6:30 AM to 2 PM shift for several weeks.

Willing to transition to the 2 PM to 10 PM shift.

Must have a valid driving license.

Must provide references for the past three years
