This is an opportunity for an Employment Associate to join a forward-thinking, innovative law firm renowned for its expertise in employment law. • The ideal Employment Associate will bring circa 4–8 years PQE in employment law from a leading national or regional practice.
• Strong technical expertise across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to deliver practical, business-focused advice.
• Experience supporting corporate transactions (desirable but not essential).
• A proactive approach, self-motivation, and enthusiasm for problem-solving.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
• A collaborative attitude and a passion for working as part of a high-performing team.
• The ability to manage competing priorities effectively under pressure.

• The successful Employment Associate will be part of a thriving team based in Nottingham, handling a varied workload that includes:
• Representing clients in complex employment tribunal litigation from start to finish.
• Providing day-to-day legal support to HR teams as a trusted advisor.
• Advising on key HR projects such as restructurings, redundancies, and TUPE transfers.
• Supporting corporate transactions by advising on employment-related aspects like due diligence and risk management.
• Acting on executive severances and drafting/negotiating settlement agreements.
• Supervising junior team members while collaborating with partners on high-value instructions.
• Contributing to business development initiatives to expand the client base and enhance market presence.
