Overview
We’re looking to expand our well-established Industrial Disease team in Leeds. The team specialises in representing clients affected by a wide range of occupational diseases, including noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL), hand–arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), occupational asthma, work-related upper limb disorders (WRULD), stress-related conditions, and other complex industrial disease claims. We support clients through challenging circumstances, helping them and their families secure justice, answers and vital support.

Key ResponsibilitiesYou’ll manage a varied and high-value Multi Track caseload, handling all aspects of litigation from initial instruction through to trial. This will include complex disease cases requiring clear strategy, detailed investigation and confident litigation skills.
As a senior lawyer within the team, you’ll also contribute to maintaining best practice by supervising and supporting colleagues on technical and procedural matters. This includes offering guidance on case strategy and ensuring consistency and quality in both client care and case handling. While the role doesn’t involve formal line management, your expertise will be an important part of developing others and strengthening a collaborative team culture.

Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseWe’re keen to hear from experienced, qualified lawyers who have:
- A strong track record of litigating industrial disease claims (NIHL, HAVS, asthma, WRULD, stress-related injuries or similar)
- In-depth experience of Multi Track work, including funding, costs and complex litigation
- The ability to supervise and support colleagues while contributing to a culture of shared learning and development
- A compassionate approach and the ability to provide exceptional client care in sensitive circumstances
