IT Project Manager – EPOS Transformation

Location:

Nottingham (minimum 4 days onsite)

Contract:

6 months initial (highly likely to extend) (Inside IR35)

We are embarking on a major EPOS replacement and retail systems transformation programme within a large, complex retail organization. This is more than a POS upgrade — it’s a multi-year initiative involving new core systems, integrations, and improvements across retail operations and supply chain
. The programme is expected to run 18–24 months
, currently in planning and design
, and we are looking for a strong, delivery-focused IT Project Manager to own and drive the IT workstream.

• Own end-to-end IT project management for the EPOS transformation
• Maintain and manage the IT delivery plan, roadmap, sequencing, and dependencies
• Control and track IT delivery costs and budgets
• Integrations with new and existing core systems
• Work closely with architecture and delivery teams (light exposure to HLD
  , but not a solution architect role)
• Ensure delivery aligns with overall programme milestones and business objectives
• Operate effectively within a large, enterprise IT environment

• Proven experience delivering large-scale IT programmes in complex organisations
• Strong background as a core IT Project Manager (not change/comms focused)
• Experience working across retail systems and/or supply chain is highly desirable
• Excellent planning, cost control, and delivery governance skills
• Confident managing multiple work streams, vendors, and dependencies
• Comfortable working onsite and embedded with delivery teams
