NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Talent Development Partner to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first and to deliver against our strategic objectives. The Talent Development Partner in this role ensures colleagues have the tools, connections and confidence to develop their potential and that the organisation is building future ready leadership and critical talent pipelines.

You’ll design and deliver development initiatives that support succession planning and talent development including coaching and mentoring approaches, and align with our business goals, EVP and our values and behaviours.

Every day you will …
  • You’ll create end to end design and delivery of programmes and tools that support actions, working closely with the Organisation Effectiveness and Talent Strategy team. Partner with Performance and Capability Development Lead to embed coaching skills and behaviours in manager capability offers.
  • You’ll work in partnership with core colleagues within the People Team to align development initiatives with talent need priorities, workforce planning, our values and behaviours, and EVP. Meet with leaders and People Experience Leads to plan upcoming early careers and emerging leaders programmes, providing guidance and resources as the Subject Matter Expert.
  • Utilise data, insight and feedback measure programme effectiveness and drive continuous improvement, demonstrating clear links to high performance and talent development. Track programme and initiative engagement, updating dashboards for review by the Talent Development Manager. Evaluate feedback and identify trends or success stories.
  • Own, create and roll-out meaningful & engaging communication campaigns for activities working in collaboration with the Talent Development Manager and Talent Development Partner – Succession, Coaching and Mentoring, partnering closely with the wider reward team and colleagues across the Directorate to ensure communications are effective, timely and joined up.
