Overview
As a registered nurse you will be responsible for supporting the nursing team, your manager and the wider MDT in the delivery of high quality care to the dialysis patient population at King’s Mill Hospital.
Responsibilities- Assess the care needs of patients and develop a programme of care which is evaluated and amended as appropriate.
- Carry out relevant forms of direct and indirect patient care without direct supervision.
- Regularly take charge of the clinical area in the absence of the person who has continuing responsibility or his/her deputy.
- Be responsible for overseeing the care of non-registered staff.
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and adaptable individuals to join our exiting team and to help further develop the service we give to our patients.
Training and Career PathwayThe successful candidate will be given three month’s on the job training and a place on the renal foundation program. The successful candidate will have the responsibility after initial training of commencement observation and termination of dialysis to a group of patients and will oversee the care given by non-registered staff and will get involved with planning and implementation of care throughout the entire patient journey with the support of the wider MDT.
ShiftPattern
We work over six days Monday to Friday. Monday, Wednesday and Friday we are open from 6am to midnight. Tuesday, Thursday Saturday 6am to 7pm. We offer a combination of shifts, long days are 6am to 6pm, short days 6am to 2pm 11am to 7pm and 4pm to Midnight.
