We work in partnership with a number of NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups nationwide to provide patients with access to community services closer to their home, including Diagnostic Ultrasound, Gynaecology Services, diagnosis and treatment of Dermatological conditions, Ophthalmology services and the provision of extended Minor surgery procedures.

About

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as an Ophthalmology Technician. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our ophthalmology clinic and the well‑being of our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting eye examinations
  • Preparing consultation rooms for the clinician
  • Escorting patients to the clinician for further consultation or additional tests
  • Managing and enhancing the overall patient experience, providing a welcoming and compassionate atmosphere. Conduct GDPR security checks with patients to safeguard their data and health.
  • Assisting medical professionals by handling patient data, ensuring all records are complete and accurate
  • Collaborating with clinical staff to facilitate patient appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling and a seamless patient journey
  • Ensuring timely completion of reports, including outcomes and providing any administrative support as needed
  • Strictly adhering to infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe healthcare environment for patients and staff

Please note that as we run a 7‑day service, you will be required to work 5 out of 7 days. Shift patterns are generally between 07:00/07:30 – 17:30/18:00.

Our clinic locations are nationwide and include Birmingham, Hereford, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Telford, Worcestershire, Stoke, Staffordshire, Doncaster, Nottinghamshire, Wrexham, Reading, Frimley, Slough and Bassetlaw. This is a mobile role and you will be expected to travel to any of these site locations.

Requirements
  • MUST HAVE a driving licence and own vehicle to visit the multiple clinic sites nationally.
  • Previous experience in administration is preferable but not essential.
  • IT literate with proficiency in using computer systems and software.
  • You must show a great passion for providing high‑quality care and take pride in your work.
