Location: Nottinghamshire (Hybrid working)
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (DOE)

We are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a well‑established and expanding manufacturing organisation in Nottinghamshire. This is an exciting time to come on board, as the business continues to strengthen its finance function and modernise processes.

This role offers genuine exposure, responsibility and the opportunity to develop within a supportive team environment.

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you’ll support the month‑end process, management reporting and budgeting activities, while gaining hands‑on experience across the wider finance function.

You’ll work closely with operational teams, contributing to improved financial insight and helping to embed stronger processes as the business evolves.

• Support the month‑end close process, including journals, accruals and reconciliation
• Assist with preparation of management information
• Process and maintain sales ledger and purchase ledger activities
• Support credit control and monitor aged debt
• Assist with cashflow monitoring and bank reconciliations
• Help maintain accurate financial records and reporting schedules
• Provide general finance support across the team during busy periods

• Actively studying (AAT / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience with in a finance function (manufacturing is desirable)
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Proactive, organised and eager to learn
• Keen to progress and build a long‑term finance career
