We’re currently recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant to join a large, multi-million turnover manufacturing organisation with a strong reputation for excellence and innovation. This is a pivotal role within the finance function that offers real progression, a chance to work closely with senior leadership, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact during an exciting period of growth.

The Role:

As Senior Management Accountant, you’ll be instrumental in delivering timely and accurate financial information, improving processes, and partnering with operational stakeholders across the business. This broad and commercially focused position requires both technical capability and strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end and year-end management accounts processes
• Prepare detailed variance analysis and insightful reporting for senior stakeholders
• Own budgeting and forecasting cycles, working with department heads
• Provide accurate production cost data to operational teams
• Manage payroll processes and liaise with HMRC and pension providers
• Oversee fixed assets and ensure accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations
• Support statutory audit preparation and external reporting
• Champion continuous improvement across financial systems and reporting
• Partner with the wider business to drive performance and efficiency

Requirements:

• Strong experience producing management accounts and financial reports
• Confident in handling month-end, budgeting, and forecasting independently
• Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems
• Analytical, proactive, and adaptable with a commercial mindset
• Strong communication and team working abilities
• Willingness to grow with the business and take on additional responsibility
