Rural Valuation - Cornwall
We’re working with a leading rural practice seeking a RICS Chartered Surveyor / Registered Valuer to join their respected, friendly and ambitious Rural Team based in Cornwall. Following continued growth, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced rural valuation professional to support the delivery of national and regional rural asset portfolios.
You will work closely with the Head of Rural Valuation, undertaking valuations across a wide range of rural property types – including agricultural land, farms, diversified rural estates, equestrian property, woodland, nature assets, and country houses. This role includes both managing existing client relationships and helping to develop new work streams in one of the UK’s most diverse rural landscapes.
You’ll also join a wider national team of over 45 rural valuers, forming part of a dedicated division focused exclusively on high‑quality valuation advice for financial reporting, tax purposes, secured lending, succession planning and general rural professional consultancy.

- Deliver valuations for a wide range of rural asset classes: farmland, estates, residential and commercial rural property, diversified enterprises, heritage assets, woodland, nature assets and specialist agricultural assets.
- Support regional valuation delivery across Cornwall and the surrounding counties, servicing an established pipeline of professional valuation work.
- Assist in completing financial reporting valuations for private clients, financial institutions, local authorities, education bodies and government organisations.
- Liaise directly with clients, auditors and partners to ensure accurate, timely delivery of valuation advice.
- Undertake AMC (Agricultural Mortgage Corporation) valuation and agency work.
- Contribute to business growth by identifying fee‑earning opportunities and developing new professional work streams.
- Collaborate with research and marketing teams to promote the valuation offering and raise the team’s profile.
- Support the development of emerging valuation specialisms within the national team.

You Will Ideally Bring:- RICS Qualification
, with RICS Registered Valuer status preferred. - Experience working within a rural surveying or valuation role.
- CAAV membership (preferred but not essential).
- Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation along with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment with a high standard of client care.
- A collaborative mindset with the confidence to work closely with clients and support junior colleagues.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Cornwall and wider regions as required.
