Senior Finance Accountant
Bingham, Nottinghamshire Full-Time position, Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:30 in the office in Bingham.
Salary £30,000-£40,000
The Opportunity
I am working with a long-standing client to recruit a Senior Finance Accountant. Based just to the west of Nottingham, they provide a wide range of business services including Security Solutions, Facilities Management, IT, Media, Data and Tele-Communications, and Recruitment functions We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Finance Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a fast-paced role with high KPIs and expectations for accuracy, efficiency, and initiative from day one.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, delivering high-quality reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. You must have proven experience using Quick Books and be confident in taking ownership of financial processes without the need for extensive training. If you are a self-starter who thrives under pressure and can hit the ground running, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Manage and oversee the daily financial operations of the business
* Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
* Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
* Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions
* Complete bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
* Manage VAT returns and other statutory compliance requirements
* Use Quick Books to process transactions, produce reports, and manage budgets
* Support cash flow forecasting and budgeting processes
* Ensure all financial records meet legal and regulatory requirements
* Work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations
* Monitor and meet high performance targets and KPIs
About You
* Proven experience in a Senior Finance / Accountant role
* Advanced Quick Books knowledge is essential
* Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and statutory compliance
* Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
* Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
