Finance Manager

This is a great opportunity to join a well respected and established business with a turnover of around 20m. They are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the team of four and report to the MD. The role is initially temporary but offers potential for long term employment and good prospects.

The position will be extremely varied and ideally suited to an Accountant with strong management accounts experience gained in a manufacturing background.

Qualifications would be highly advantageous however candidates are welcome to apply who are QBE (qualified by experience)

• Lead, motivate and develop the finance team
• Produce monthly management accounts & financial KPI's
• Manage cash flow, budgets and forecasts
• Produce year end accounts ready for audit
• Monitor sales and purchase ledgers and authorisations
• Authorise 'material' sales quotations & purchase orders
• Provide cover for - Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Cashier, Credit Control, Wages & Salaries, Stock Valuations
• Report on sales GP's
• Calculate customer rebates and turnover reports
• Credit Insurance on Customers
• Provide HMRC returns as required e.g. VAT, P35, P60, P11D etc
• Maintain product costs on Sage
  200
• Maintain selling price lists and margin reports
• Calculate manufacturing & project costs
• Maintaining all product costings
• Produce monthly R&D Cost Reports from data provided
• Continual Improvement of Financial systems & security
• Responsible for maintaining confidential company records
• Liaise with external auditors on annual statutory audit Act in Time system including improvement and development
• Sage 200 accounting software including improvement and development
• To work with the accounts team to promote a culture of constant improvement and development
• To monitor and report on the company financial performance using using Sage
  200
• Can take a hands-on role and report into Board

This is a lovely company which offers a great working atmosphere and can offer one day a week hybrid working from the office if required after over-lap period with the current FM.
