Portfolio Manager – Asset Lending

Our client, a global Banking organization and an established provider of funding solutions to businesses, requires an experienced Portfolio Manager to join their high performing team based in the North West.

Your primary responsibility will be to proactively manage key relationships with a portfolio of clients mainly spread across the North of England. You will be tasked with effectively managing risk, ensuring profitability and maximising revenue.

The portfolio will be made up of a mix of both high value receivables finance and Asset Based Lending facilities. Client turnovers will not typically exceed £35 Million p/a.

Other Key Responsibilities/behaviors include:

• Undertake regular client visits in line with agreed schedules with accurate and consistent reporting in agreed format and timescales.
• Excellent communication skills, maintaining a high level of professional conduct with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Be risk aware whilst effectively balancing risk and reward across the portfolio.
• Be able to review, analyse and digest complex financial accounts and other information to allow considered and qualitative funding decisions to be made.
• Working knowledge of Invoice Finance & ABL.

Strong communication skills are essential to develop profitable working relationships with clients, as is an in-depth knowledge of financial accounting and its practical application in a commercial lending environment. A background in Invoice Finance and Asset Based Lending is essential.
