Role overviewWe are seeking an ambitious and driven Private Client Tax Assistant Manager to join our expanding Private Client Tax team.
This is an excellent opportunity to manage a well-established compliance portfolio, mentor junior team members, and deliver high-quality tax services to a diverse range of private clients.
As a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager your typical daily duties will include:
- Managing a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, business owners, trusts, and other complex private clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tax compliance services.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients within your portfolio, building strong relationships and ensuring a high level of service.
- Reviewing self-assessment tax returns and associated computations prepared by junior staff.
- Supervising mentoring, and support junior team members, providing training and feedback to aid their development.

The working week: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday) to be worked from 09:00-17:30 with flexibility of hours to meet specific work demands.

Your principal work base is our Nottingham Office.

- Strong experience in private client tax
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients independently
- Experience reviewing tax returns and mentoring junior staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, organised, and client-focused approach
- Proficiency in CCH software for tax return preparation
- A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
