What you'll be doing:

Assist the Central Maintenance team in supporting all aspects of CHP maintenance, overhaul and fault diagnosis.

Undertake any other duties associated with CHP plant and general areas as directed by the Customer Account Manager.

Provide 'hands on' advanced mechanical and control system training to Service Engineers when required

Support operational regions with in depth fault finding and optimisation of CHP engines, control systems and balance of plant.

Provide technical assistance with internal/external failure reports and contribute to 'Lessons Learnt'.

Carry out and support diagnostics through remote desktop software

Assist in specifying critical and spare parts to be held within the region to support first fix.

Take lead on small projects as required

Contribute to technical workshops and workflow sessions to drive continuous improvement

What we're looking for:

Be conversant with the use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment required to carry out engine servicing and repairs

Have qualifications and/ or experience on engine maintenance and the ability & desire to be trained by an engine manufacturer if required

Have sound knowledge in engineering practices and be conversant with the operation of a CHP plant

Gas Safe Accredited

Undertake weekend roster duties as required by management.

NVQ level 3 or Equivalent in an Engineering Discipline

In depth knowledge of CHP control systems and PLC's

Driving license
