Embark on a professional career within mapping and consultancy. You will join a well-established team undertaking a variety of surveys across the UK and will receive full support and training to develop new skills while contributing positively to the group. The role is based in our London office but we welcome candidates from the southeast region and remote arrangements are possible.
SLR has a busy, well established Land Survey team that provides Geomatic surveying throughout the country, supporting clients in minerals/waste, residential/commercial development, civil/petrochemical/power engineering and more. The team values clear understanding of client requirements for site surveys, setting out, and design, ensuring consistency through professional digital capability.

ResponsibilitiesYour main responsibilities will include assisting the surveyor(s) across a variety of fieldwork projects throughout the UK, following briefs and specifications. As experience grows you will work both independently and within a team on projects from start to finish, demonstrating initiative and responsibility to deliver surveys of a high standard. You will also process and produce survey plans in LSS and AutoCAD, volumetric calculations and reports.

You will have a Bachelor’s degree qualification or similar in Land Surveying/Geomatics.
Key Qualifications- Proven surveying experience using GNSS and total Stations
- Knowledge of using AutoCAD and LSS
- Knowledge and experience of using Word and Excel and other Microsoft products
- Hardworking and able to self‑motivate
- Strong communication skills to engage with both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
- A proactive approach to learning and contributing to team development
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to work outdoors over difficult terrain across the UK
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams or stakeholder engagement
- A keen interest in mentoring others and knowledge sharing within a team
- Experience with UAV surveying

You will need a full driving licence valid in the UK and must be able to work away from home as projects dictate.
