You will work within a growing Transport Planning team delivering high‑quality transport planning inputs on a variety of private sector development projects. You will assist in project delivery, stakeholder liaison, technical outputs, and contribute to team expansion and business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare transport planning documents including Transport Notes, Statements, Assessments, Travel Plans and ES Transport Chapters.
- Undertake preliminary highway / junction design and application of relevant design standards via AutoCAD.
- Use industry software to analyse data and produce technical outputs:
Junctions (PICADY/ARCADY), Lin Sig/Quick green, TRICS, TEMPro, and GIS packages (e.g., QGIS, Podaris). - Support elements of project management including resourcing, deliverables tracking, financials, and client liaison.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Transport Planning team in Nottingham.
- Typically 5+ years' experience in transport planning or development consultancy.
- Confident and capable producing core transport planning deliverables.
- Proficiency in transport modelling and data tools (Junctions, Lin Sig/Quick green, TRICS, TEMPro).
- Skilled in AutoCAD and application of design standards.
- Competent in GIS (e.g., QGIS, Podaris).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Word and Excel).
- Excellent communication, organisation, analytical and presentation skills.
- Professional proactive mindset with a drive for continual development.
- Capability to support project success across multidisciplinary teams.

- £45,000 - £55,000 DOE
