T2M Resourcing are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer on behalf of a growing engineering business to be a part of the new product development and customer projects team.

The Mechanical Engineer role will balance 2D and 3D design, FEA, and developing prototypes alongside a diverse engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for engineering and be driven towards having an impact within the business.

Key duties of a Mechanical Engineer:
  • Mechanical design and development of new and existing products.
  • Managing and maintaining Solid Works libraries.
  • Support business development and project teams with initial designs or visuals for client presentations.
  • Prototyping and build work of initial concepts.
  • FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and simulation using Solidworks.
  • Analysing simulation and modelling results.
  • Generate Bills of Materials and production documentation.
  • Verification and validation testing.
  • Ensure safety and design for manufacture is at the heart of Mechanical Engineering.
Requirements to be successful as a Mechanical Engineer:
  • Passionate about engineering and driven to make a difference within a business.
  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Confident in designing 2D and 3D models.
  • Experience in professional Mechanical Engineering roles.
  • Previously taken products from concept to production phase – NPD projects.
  • Knowledge of pumps, industrial machinery, and electro-mechanical products.
  • Capable of running Finite Element Analysis and simulations on Solidworks.
  • Confident in utilising CAD packages such as Solidworks or AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of DFMEA and manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong problem solving skills, able to develop new solutions.

This role will be based from the production, design, and testing facility in Gloucestershire however will include travel to client sites and therefore a UK Driving License is essential for the role.
