  • Level 4/5 HNC/HND

The successful candidate will combine strong subject knowledge with the adaptability and learner focus essential within an FE environment.

What you will teach
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Engineering principles and applied mechanics
  • Materials, manufacturing and maintenance
  • Fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
  • Mechanical design and CAD
  • Analytical problem-solving
  • Electrical & Electronic Engineering

  • Analogue and digital electronics
  • Control systems and automation
  • PLC and embedded systems
  • Engineering Mathematics & Physics
  • Algebra, trigonometry and calculus
  • Applied mechanics and engineering science
  • Statistical methods for engineers

You must be confident teaching mathematics and applied physics to degree-level learners, while also supporting foundation learners in building confidence and core skills.

Who we’re looking for
  • Have a degree (Level 6 or above) in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic or related Engineering discipline
  • Have strong underpinning knowledge of Engineering Mathematics and Applied Physics
  • Can teach across both mechanical and electrical disciplines
  • Are confident delivering analytical content up to Level 6
  • Have experience working with diverse FE learners
  • Maintain high expectations around attendance, behaviour and academic standards
  • Are organised, adaptable and student-focused
  • A teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed) is essential or must be achieved within a specified timeframe.
What will make you stand out
  • Experience delivering across multiple qualification levels
  • Industry experience within electro-mechanical environments
  • Familiarity with CAD, simulation and control software
  • Experience contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement
