Overview
Our M&E department are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the team in Nottingham.
Responsibilities- Assume responsibility for individual projects
- Preparing outline and detailed designs for tender (specification and drawings)
- Preparing technical reports
- Undertaking surveys and detailed calculations
- Direct liaison with clients and contractors
- Attend project and design team meetings (office and site).
- Provide management of and/or technical support to Senior members of staff in the day to day running of the office
- Undertake continues professional development
- Comply with the Firm’s Policies, Procedures and Quality Management Systems.
- HNC/D or degree in relevant field. (Degree is preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ post graduate design experience in consultancy or contracting.
- Understanding of current building regulations
- Understanding of the construction industry design and procurement process
- Understanding of CIBSE guides
- Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, IES and Hevacomp (or equivalent)
The successful candidate should have sound verbal and written communications skills, be self-motivated and ambitious to progress. They will be capable of working as part of team but also use initiative and manage their own workload.
