Job Description & How to Apply Below

Are you ready to shape the future of orbital connectivity? We are looking for a highly technical Spacecraft RF Systems Engineer to lead the design and implementation of next-generation satellite links. You will be the architect of the invisible threads that connect space-based assets to Earth, ensuring seamless data flow across both "old" and "new" space applications.

The Role

In this position, you will own the end-to-end communication lifecycle—from initial architectural concepts and complex link modeling to hands-on hardware validation. You will navigate the technical and regulatory complexities of frequency licensing while ensuring that spacecraft subsystems are robust, efficient, and flight-ready.

Your day to day:

System Ownership: Lead link budget design, antenna analysis, and data-to-ground budgeting.

Mission Assurance: Develop and implement FDIR strategies and communication unit test procedures.

AIV

Collaboration:

Support the Assembly, Integration, and Verification lifecycle to ensure flight readiness.

Cross-Functional Synergy: Interface daily with Systems, Command & Data Handling (C&DH), and Procurement units

Core Responsibilities
  • Architectural Design: Lead the design and development of advanced spacecraft communication subsystems and overall system architectures.
  • Link Performance: Take full ownership of satellite link budgets, performing rigorous modeling and simulation of space-to-ground links.
  • Requirements Management: Define, manage, and verify complex communication requirements to ensure mission success.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Navigate ITU frequency licensing constraints for a variety of mission profiles.
  • Hardware & Testing: Oversee the development of communication circuits and lead hands-on testing, verification, and validation (V&V) procedures for flight hardware.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Academic Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Communications Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Technical Mastery: Proven experience in designing spacecraft comms subsystems and managing high-stakes satellite link budgets.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of ITU frequency licensing and the specific constraints of the modern space sector.
  • Simulation

    Skills:

Proficiency in modeling space-to-ground communication links.
  • Testing Rigor: Direct experience with communication circuit design and the creation of formal verification/validation plans for satellite systems.
